My sister Allisen works as a Flight Attendant for New World Aviation, a corporate charter company that flies really rich people wherever they want in really expensive airplanes! I tagged along one Sunday afternoon as she prepped for a five-day trip to Lyon, France. As we pulled into the parking lot of the company headquarters at ABE airport in Allentown, the caterer was waiting with the food order for the trip. I helped unload the 6 or seven cartons of supplies, marked "Breakfast", "Dinner" and "crew". Allisen always tips, so she has lots of friends!

Also delivering for this trip was the flower lady .

The offices were empty, but a quick swipe of her security ID card and we were in. First stop: the kitchen! Allisen's job is very glamorous, pouring Veuve Clicquot for the hoi-poloi, but the fine silverware and china doesn't get on the plane by itself! Well, with all the dishes and cartons, you might wonder how it does get on the plane. (scroll down)..

You should see her zoom that thing around the hangar! I help load the plane and Allie gives me a tour of the Gulfstream IV jet. It is a beautiful plane, a luxury limo of the sky! I get introduced to Dave, one of the maintenance guys at New World, who offers to power up the avionics and snap a picture of me. I don't need to be asked twice!

I had a great time with Allie showing me a tiny bit of her job. Bon voyage and thanks Allie!
